This man is a survivor of an attack by a Bengal tiger in the Sundarbans forest in Bangladesh. He was fishing when the tiger attacked him. He had his face in the mouth of the tiger but was able to fight it and escape - rare scenario as not many survive these attacks that happen even multiple times a week. Regardless of the challenges the locals face due to the environment of the Sundarbans, they don't hate the tiger: "If there is no tiger there is no forest." The forest they rely on for the majority if not all of their resources and to which they have to go without a choice on daily bases.
